Cuautitlán to install 1,500 smart luminaires to boost safety

The municipality of Cuautitlán has launched an important public lighting modernization program with the installation of 1,500 Orion P smart luminaires. Announced on August 14, 2025, the project aims to enhance safety, energy efficiency and the quality of life for residents by deploying advanced lighting technology.

The installed luminaires include remote control and regulation profiles that allow intensity adjustments based on schedules and environmental needs. With integrated sensors and telemetry, the central platform can monitor each unit's status, detect faults and schedule proactive maintenance tasks.

Thanks to connectivity, the town hall will be able to design dynamic maintenance routes, reduce response times to failures and optimize energy consumption. These improvements translate into lower operating costs and a greater perception of safety in the intervened areas.
