The Coacalco Shines program kicks off, a step towards modernity and security

With the aim of modernizing the urban infrastructure and reinforcing security in the municipality, Mayor David Sánchez Isidoro launched the Coacalco Brilla program, which includes the installation of 15 thousand state-of-the-art LED luminaires, starting with the first 260 in various neighborhoods.

During the start of the program on 7th Street in Colonia Ejidal, the municipal president stressed that these new luminaires have an intelligent control system that allows their intensity to be adjusted according to the schedule, guaranteeing greater lighting at key moments, such as the return of citizens home at night or in the early hours of the morning. From 8:00 p.m. to 00:00 a.m. they will operate at their maximum capacity, reduce their intensity in the early morning and increase again before dawn.

Sánchez Isidoro stressed that, in addition to improving visibility and safety in streets and public spaces, the new technology represents significant savings in electricity consumption, reducing costs from 200 to 50 pesos per unit. He also stressed that this lighting system is unique in the state, since each lamp has GPS to detect faults in real time and speed up its maintenance.
